The ODCSSS (Online Dublin Computer Science Summer research School (http://www.odcsss.ie) (an SFI funded UREKA site) will organise its final Demo and Poster Presentation Day on Friday August 22th, 2007 from 11:00am - 2.00pm

Funded by the SFI and supported by DCU and UCD, ODCSSS is a 12 week research internship program with 18 undergraduate students from over 6 countries. These student were supervised by 26 academics and mentored by a large number of postgraduate students from both UCD and DCU.
This year's ODCSSS research theme is: "Technologies for Social Connectedness". Projects include "Enabling Social Connectedness in e-Learning", "The Friend Zone: an application to maintain social ties and improve social connectedness", and "Social Interaction in Large Scale Distributed Software Projects" among many more.
These students have been actively involved in research over the past 12 weeks and indeed 2 ODCSSS student projects will be represented at the Ambient Information Systems Workshop at Ubicomp 2008. In addition a number of other students are working on or have helped in the submission of other full length papers.
