2009 Theme

The theme for ODCSSS 2009 "Technologies for bridging the digital-physical divide: sensing the environment". Each ODCSSS student is engaged in a research project with a faculty member and mentor which provides them an opportunity to experience research. The selection of interns is highly competitive but we encourage anyone interested in research who is eligible to apply.

Welcome to Gary Munnelly from Ireland, an ODCSSS 2010 research intern

Gary is a third year engineering student in Trinity College Dublin. He is studying for a Bachelor of Computer Engineering. His most recent project to date was to develop a control centre capable of operating a number of autonomous vehicles as they travelled around a track. He likes to discuss this project with every computer oriented person he meets, because it sounds more impressive than it really was. His current software interests include data basing, website design and methods of efficient programming in C++. When not writing software for his own amusement, Gary is an avid guitarist and enjoys listening to and playing a wide range of genres.
