"An Odysseus internship affords undergraduate students from around the world with an interest in Computer Science the opportunity to undertake exciting and fun research in a distributed yet cooperative environment."
Shruti is originally from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, and has been living in Rihand Nagar (NTPC project), distt. Sonebhadra Uttar Pradesh, India since 1988. She finished her senior secondary from Rihand Nagar in 2005. Then Continuing with her interest in Science and Engineering, she is currently pursuing her B-Tech from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. She will be completing her B-tech in summers 2010 and she plans to do her masters in Multihop Wireless transmission after that.
The project Shruti will be working on aims at investigating the performance of an adaptive and dynamically varying cluster-based solution for next generation video-on-demand (VoD) and multimedia streaming over mobile/handheld wireless devices. The project involves the design, modelling (using Network Simulator – NS2) and testing of the adaptive solution for distributing video content in such an environment. The testing will compare this approach with other adaptive and non-adaptive solutions.
