ODCSSS Kick off Day

The day started in Newman House with introductory presentations from Dr. Aaron Quigley and Dr. Gabriel Muntean. Each student also gave a short introduction during the 1-minute-madness. There were numerous informative and interesting presentations from Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) , Microsoft, IBM and Prof. Alan Smeaton for the Adaptive Information Cluster (AIC). ODCSSS Project Supervisors gave a 3 minute introduction to each of their projects. Tea, Coffee and lunch was provided during the breaks. Later on, finger food was provided at O'Neills pub in the city. A good night was had by all.
