Glendalough Trip

We visited the remains of the old monastic settlement at Glendalough in the 'glen of the two(da) lakes(lough)' in Co. Wicklow. There were a few small dwellings, the remains of a church and graveyard, and the Round Tower where the monks would hide during attacks. At the top of one of the hills was a viewpoint overlooking the northern lake. We finished the trip with a walk through the glen and ice-cream.
