Viking splash tour

There's a Viking splash tour organized this Friday (1st of August)!  It's a pretty fun tour and gives the opportunity to see Dublin a different way :-) You can have more info at http://www.vikingsplash.ie/ The tour will start from St Patrick Cathedral (not Stephen Green). Oireachtas Eireann

ODCSSS has arranged a tour of Oireachtas Eireann, the Irish Houses of Parliament at 15:30 on Friday the 8th August. The tour is very interesting. Guided by the very knowledgeable staff you get to see the inside of the upper and lower houses, learn about how it all works as well as the history of the buildings and the Irish political system in general.

The ODCSSS draft final research papers and posters are due today at midnight. Ensure your supervisor and mentor has had sufficient time to comment prior to submission. Feedback on these will be given but you should ask your mentors to comment further in the coming days. A decision on which students will present at Intel will be made based on these submitted research items.

Research visit to Intel and Trim Castle

On the 15th of August a research trip was organised to Intel. While there we were given several presentations, one on the history of Intel in Ireland along with Simon Roberts from TRIL and Trevor Pering from Intel Research. Two of the Odysseus students gave a presentation on their progress through their project. Poornima and Ioana were chosen to do this. After they did their presentation a tour was given of FAB and a guided tour of the different processes and stages of the manufacture of Intel produce.See ODCSSS RSS feed
