ODCSSS 2010 is here! In 2010 the programme will start on Tuesday June 1st and will run for ten weeks. Project outlines will be available by next week and application will be open to Irish and EU students. Those who are successful in their application will be offered an internship and will be paid 300 (Eur) per-week as a tax-free scholarship. A contribution (up to €300) toward travel expenses may also be made for international students.

Friday the 17th of July saw Dr. Aaron Quigley the UCD director for ODCSSS and Dr. Hrishikesh Venkataraman from DCU welcome everyone to DCU for the 4th annual mid-term ODCSSS research day. The day started with a lab tour by Professor Alan Smeaton the deputy director for CLARITY.

John Paul is originally from London, England but moved to Limerick in 2002.He is in his second year of  Computer Science in UCC and hopes to graduate in 2011. He enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and watching Japanese animation.

John Paul will be working on the project "Environmental monitoring using mobile sensor movement in cities". This project will design a simulator to prove the basic premise that every citizen of a city can be turned into a mobile environmental sensor.
